The Night

Ninety minutes, and you will not be quiet for many of them.

Doors at 6:30 PM. First ball at 7:00 PM. A professional MC calls the numbers, so the night moves and the room stays loud in the way a good room is loud. Ten rounds. Somebody at your table is going to win one of them, and by the fourth round the quiet ones are the ones guarding their cards.

By 8:30 you are in the parking lot with something green on the passenger seat, which is a better Wednesday than the one you had planned.

Costumes welcome.

Come as a witch, a ghost or a houseplant. Everybody still goes home with a plant.

What a night of Plant Bingo looks like

Ninety minutes of bingo. Ten rounds, called by a professional MC, and you'll get a few laughs along the way.

Cards and daubers are on us. Bring your friends and your competitive side. That's the whole packing list.

A plant to take home. Win a round and you pick from the big ones.

A drawing for a jar of honey from our own bees.

And the final round plays for something special. Some nights it's a showpiece pot, some nights a bonsai, some nights the biggest, strangest plant we could get our hands on that week.

Bring Someone

Who are you bringing?

Most people come to this with somebody. The tables seat groups, the rounds are short enough to talk between them, and the whole night is better with a friend at your elbow.

If you are buying one seat, buy two. The person you are thinking of right now is the correct answer.

Why This Exists

Started by a beekeeper.

Not the obvious career move. But it came out of a genuine love of plants and a burning desire to share them with everyone.

Turns out you cannot share bees with everyone. Plants you can. Just not with somebody who is not in the room.
